Yay.

I decided to give 7th overall pick Brendan Perlini a shot right away, allowing me to shop a couple top line players around a little bit. Jacques gave me the best opportunity to bring in a solid player and after working on a couple deals, I think this is the right one for me. While I'll miss Jacques' hits up front until Perlini fully develops, Ellis is a young top pair defenseman and a PP quarterback I could not pass on.

Good team should have one or two lines with great power forwards, when we will have solid power forwards to hit and grind we will have key to win the games, Jacques is one of those while giving away Ellis I still have pretty good defensive core with Weber and Suter so this trade makes sense to me.
