Computer problems

Post by TorontoGM »

Having problems with the CPU in my laptop, I'm taking it in to be looked at on Wednesday. I should be able to get lines/changes in but just letting you know in case I go MIA for a few days.

I am not happy, 200 GIGs of movies/tv shows and I cant watch any of it. :(

Hopefully they can get all of that shit off of your laptop.

The hard drive in my desktop took a shit a couple months ago. They were able to get my media, but not my documents. Lost some pretty important stuff there. Really sucks.

Good luck with it.

Same with me. Computer won't even start, lost a whole bunch of pictures. :(

Adam/Tommy, if you could notify me when I have an injury in pro/farm after the sim, would be sweet! Untill I get a new one.

I think I owe what sanity I have to the data recovery guys who managed to get all my stuff off a formatted-and-wiped disk out of a toasty computer. Hope you guys can find some of the same kind of benevolent nerds.

Guy who did mine said he could recover the data by putting a circuit board from a similar hard drive on there and get what was left before the incompatible circuit board fried the hard drive. Said he was 2-for-2 lifetime doing it. Guess he got the idea and tried it for a family that had lost their child. He was desperate to get the pictures off of it for them and it, somehow, worked.
