Columbus/Boston

Columbus sends:

Shaone Morrisonn (72)
Mark Dekanich (65)
CBJ 2nd 2013

Boston sends:
Brad Stuart (76)

Reasoning: Stuart is an upgrade to Morrisonn, adds a little bit more LE for my playoff run, and gets McIlrath off my second powerplay unit. Dekanich is a solid goaltender who will develop into a very competent backup. I wanted to add the 2nd under the assumption that I'll be able to re-sign Stuart and I felt a future player should be added since Stuart is probably not a rental. Morrisonn's a solid defenseman, but I had to get McIlrath off that 2nd PP unit and any additional leadership is a must.

Poppin' Boston's trade cherry!

Edit: Sorry, made a typo. The draft pick is actually CBJ 2nd, not CBJ 3rd as it was originally posted.

Confirmed:

Reasoning: I liked having Brad Stuart on the team, but I didn't like the price I would've had to pay for him come July 1st. Getting a return on a player on the verge of UFA is always a plus, and the pick helps. Shaone Morrisonn is a decent replacement, with a little more rubber on the tires age-wise and with a much more affordable contract. He'll fit in well with the plans i have for the defense of the team. Getting Mark Dekanich works well for the farm club in the short-term, or to fill in the gap if either goalie were ever to leave. The 2nd round pick is icing on the cake.
