TOR/WPG

Post by TorontoGM »

To Winnipeg:

Martin Havlat(72)
Raffi Torres(57)
TOR 3rd 2012

To Toronto:
Dustin Tokarski(64)
Teemu Selanne(73)
Rostislav Olesz(70)
Gilbert Brule(72)
Spencer Machacek(85)

Accept,

Havlat is on my 3rd line and doing nothing, so he might as well be on a team that can push for a playoff spot. Torres is easily replaced by a more expensive Olesz, Tokarski gives me a more trustworthy back up, Selanne brings much needed leadership to my young forwards and fills Havlat's hole in the lineup, and Brule/Machacek are upgrades for the farm which can now be renamed the Toronto GIANTS. 8-)

Thanks Tom

Jets accept.

Dealing Little and Ryan took a bit too much offense that I haven't been able to replace. Stajan-Colborne-Selanne just wasn't going to cut it as a top scoring line. I'm hoping Havlat gets a jump start in a more active offensive role. Adding Torres was an additional bonus, short term hitting while Mr. Brouwer heals.

Happy to take a role of the dice on Havlat for seldom used Olesz and third goalie Tokarski.

Thanks Mike
