PIT - TB

Post by Jets GM »

to PIT: Alex Tanguay (70) and TB 3rd 2012

to TB: Jarrod Tinordi (81), PIT' 1st 2012, PIT 4th 2012, PIT 5th 2012, and TOR 5th 2012

Reasoning: To quote the great Phil Leotardo, "It either has meaning, or it has no meaning at all". TB was going to either rebuild, or contend for the Cup. I ultimately couldn't see us winning it all this year, with the losses of Vincent Lecavalier and Zdeno Chara to the EHM gods it reduced a championship roster to a team with lot's of good pieces and holes. Add in the Stanley Cup hangover tab of 6m (thank you jaromir :)), I think the choice becomes very clear if I ever want to have a shot at winning it all again.

Tinordi is an abrasive player, loads of truculence and violence. He'll one day form the 3rd pairing duo with Carl "Sneak Attack" Sneep, that I imagine can rival anyone in terms of nastiness. A 1st is a 1st as Bern says, PIT looks to be a clear contender for the Cup and could end up at 30 but hopefully I can move St. Louis to someone in his division to make his road a little harder.

gl Bern, pleasure as always.

Always a pleasure to deal with Justin. I'm a shark when GMs go for the rebuild and Tanguay was the most appealing meat in the sea! Great two-way player that only makes 3M a year and still in his early 30s. I would have loved to see Tinordi beat the fuck out of people on D, but he was the dealbreaker for Justin.

I acceptttttttttttttttttttttttttttt!!

Ridiculous, Justin owns like a third of the 2012 first round already.

But I won't complain about the direction he's taking for next season. 8-)

I'm a little sad. He was a great challenge to play against with his god damn trap!

Holy smokes. Justin, slow down man, let some other people draft :) Besides that, some awesome moves you've been making.

On the bright side.

I might get to make the playoffs this year!

Upon further review, trade is rejected. TB is not in possession of their 3rd round pick in 2012 from this trade.

VERSION 2.0

to PIT: Alex Tanguay (70) and Tyler Pitlick (75)

to TB: Jarrod Tinordi (81), PIT' 1st 2012, PIT 4th 2012, PIT 5th 2012, and TOR 5th 2012

Reasoning stays the same, swapped my already traded 3rd rounder with 2010 3rd round pick Tyler Pitlick. My apologies.
