Re: January 8, 2011
Golden goal heroics don't net Lauri Korpikoski a star of the game, but he gets a gold star from GM Glen Ramsden, while Mattias Tedenby's OT winner and a late collapse cost Philly two points. Congrats to Nick Bjugstad for his first goal, and the Predators have a long night beginning with Ryan Suter's cross checking penalty 3 seconds in to the game.

Re: January 8, 2011
I'm a little disappointed that Doan didn't score all four goals himself, but meh, what are you gonna do. Korpi is nails. Props to Buffalo for putting up a such a good fight. I think I can count on one hand the number of games in which the Coyotes have been outshot this season.Commissioner (CBJ) wrote:Golden goal heroics don't net Lauri Korpikoski a star of the game, but he gets a gold star from GM Glen Ramsden...
Three seconds in? What did he do, skate through the faceoff circle and and run down the center as soon as the puck dropped? Awesome.Commissioner (CBJ) wrote:Ryan Suter's cross checking penalty 3 seconds in to the game.
Re: January 8, 2011
I wish the powerplay could beast like that every game.
The West is looking pretty crazy - the Pacific's a bit more open than it was before, but all five teams are holding a playoff spot as of tonight. 98 points doesn't even get you 8th in the West at this pace!

Re: January 8, 2011
That sure is something. I'm surprised at the huge blowout considering the turnover count, but I guess it's all about offense from the defense (and only 5 skaters going pointless).
A big shout out to Nabokov for a solid game and Alex Grant for an under-appreciated monster game on the back end.

Re: January 8, 2011
A shorty las game and no PP goals tonight, but how can I be mad when we get revenge on the backside of the back to back. Mike Hoeffel and my grinders need a shout out as they were the ones to give Tedenby and the 1st line a chance at a game winner and another shout out to Philly as we just played 2 pretty good games back to back.
