Florida Receives:
LA 1st 2025 [23rd Overall]
Lane Hutson [73]
Winnipeg Receives:
Ivan Provorov [68]
FLA 2nd 2026
Provorov is a good offensive d-man, but good offensive d-men are a abundant in Florida. So he’s headed out of town in exchange for some younger and much less expensive youth. Hutson isn’t going to have the same ceiling, but he fills a similar role, and the first should help with the newly underway retooling in Florida.
Thanks for the deal Josh, and good luck!

Re: FLA/WPG
I have been looking for defenders that can comfortably fit in my top 4 all off season. Provorov definitely fits the mold there. I am a good bit under the cap even with Provorov, and his reasonable salary on a longer term deal gives me some stability.
Hutson is a quality offensive defenseman, but the lineup already projects to be a little soft. Provorov isn't a bruiser by any means, yet he's a bit sturdier. Swapping 23 this year for an early to mid 2nd in 2026 is a reasonable price to pay for upgrading from him to Provorov in my eyes.
Thanks for the deal!
