A spooky Friday the 13th begins with the home team taking and then squandering two leads, with goals by Danault and noted sniper Nolan Allan getting replies from Jimmy "The" Lodge and Sillinger. Unfortunately for Sens fans, Ottawa seemed to run out of steam, as the only response to two quick goals from Zach the Happy and Reinhart midway through the third is a pair of hooking penalties from Cody Hodgson. Coach declines to pull the goalie and the game ends 4-2, with Detroit carrying the balance of play and tying the series 1-1.
