Homepage, Schedule & Results, League Save File

Not a super busy sim, but one with some major standings implications:

- The biggest game of the night was between the Isles and Bruins, with Boston 3 points back of 8th place NYI and 6 points back of 7th place NJ with 3 games left each. Unfortunately for the Bruins, while tied 1-1 in the second Nicolas Hague decided to take out Zemgus Girgensons for a month. The Islanders would score twice on the ensuing powerplay en route to a 4-3 win, clinching the final playoff spot in the east and eliminating Boston.

- Elsewhere Florida inexplicably snapped their 14 game losing streak against Washington, while Edmonton was crushed 6-0 by Calgary, leaving the Oilers in sole possession of 2nd last and the Caps just one point ahead of the Panthers.

Whelp there goes my season.

Good Job Islanders. The pressure was clearly too much as the undisciplined play was the ultimate demise.
We were feeling good with that hot streak mid-season but ultimately petered out.

Some would say having the third most ties is a good thing (gathering extra points) I'd say it's a problem of not getting over the top.

Was EHM drunk?
1:37 0-1 DET William Eklund [26])
------------------------------------------------------------
24:48 1-1 CAR Matthew Samoskevich [3])
------------------------------------------------------------
59:05 1-2 DET William Wallinder [1])
Three goals, no assists?? And then there's the three stars
Three stars of the game:
1st star: William Eklund
2nd star: William Wallinder
3rd star: Jimmy Snuggerud
Eklund and Wallinder I get, but Snuggerud? No goals, no assists, 2 shots, 1 hit, 1 takeaway, 9:20 ice time, 7 rating. Both goalies were 8s, Samoskevich scored a goal, Bohumil Jank had 5 hits and 6 takeaways in 23min of ice-time, JVR had 3 shots, 7 hits, 7 takeaways (and 5 giveaways but still), any of them would make more sense.

Challenges attempted this game? 121.
Successful challenges this game? 25.

Wouldn't beat yourself up too bad, the team has been getting better points wise every year since 21/22, and has been generally treading a lengthy rebuild since 18/19. Good roster, Tij will be up next year probably, make some splashes in the off season and crush the rest of us next year!

GG to the whole Bruins organization - I was very worried going into this one.
