to PITTSBURG PENGUINS
Cristobal Nieves (85)
Shai Buium (72)
Jake Chiasson (62)
3rd round DAL 2025
to DALLAS STARS
Seth Jones (76)
Long story short: typical old school hockey trade, forward for defenseman, both coming with same salary 5M, paying little extra assets to finalize the deal. Also, nice to bring TX born player to Dallas. Thanks for the deal Pens and good luck.

Re: DAL - PIT
PIT agrees
I like Nieves, he's a top-six calibre forward who can hit, has a heavy shot, fits with how I'm looking to make my forward group. I have quite a few defensemen I want to get into the lineup this year. I would have rather traded Morin but seemed like the market for him was tame. Buium and Chaisson may or may not play at some point, could be useful depth players and then just an extra lottery ticket with the 3rd.
