Atlanta accepts.
With Hamhuis and Scuderi in Atlanta and the youngsters in Chicago (AHL), Oystrick was going to get very little playing time. Leighton replaces Lehtonen on the goalie depth chart and is an option in case of injury or Hedberg's retirement.
For CAR: A solid AHL defenseman.
