Confirmed. Figured I'd use the Blue Jackets' cap space to add some assets. The team has good/young forwards (even more so with the addition of Jarvis), but is lacking on the backend, so Brown quickly becomes their best defence prospect, while the benefits of the 2nd is obvious (and having it in 2027 is good because who knows when the next actual GM will take over ). I might try to move Monahan with retention, but if I'm unable to, he's only got this year left on his deal so no harm taking on his cap hit.

Scherbak is a decent two-way body but he was also a waiver pickup, so I'm not terribly bothered to move him ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
