The draft order page is mostly correct (OTT & DET will need to be flipped), but please double-check your picks anyway. The contract calculator is slightly out of date but I'll get to that in the next couple of days - presumably some players gained LE in the playoffs, I need to undo cap retention on expiring contracts, and resolved any pending conditions.

I haven't started the draft. If Kevin is doing the big ole spreadsheet again this year, that'll be great.

Resolving the remaining conditional trades, BUF actually owns PHI 2026 rather than 2025, since the 2025 pick was indeed a lottery pick. So PHI gets their 2025 1st back.

The only remaining condition is NYR 1st 2026/27 also going to BUF one day.

The draft class is nearing completion but there are still some 30-40 trash tier prospects left to enter. If you're feeling motivated, come over to the Discord and we'll let you know how to contribute.

This puts us a few days behind last year's schedule, which was itself a bit later than usual, so we'll probably compress the entire preseason this time around. For the most part it doesn't matter too much, except that as we learned this season, we can't push the playoffs back too far or it risks running into the uneditable in-game draft date.

The 2025 draft class of 152 skaters and 16 goalies is complete. It is available as always in the draft spreadsheet. You can also find the full draft order (will be pasted into threads before the draft starts), and look up the eligible draftees here (this also includes eligible players who weren't picked in the last two drafts, as well as some crappy fake players like Joe Quimby who are not eligible). Thus, we are ready to begin the draft.

The draft will start on Friday, August 8, 2024 at 8 PM ET. In the meantime, please review the draftees and the draft order and let me know if you spot any issues so that I can fix them before the draft starts. Also review the entry draft rules.

Note that as with last year, the amended rulebook makes it viable to draft second-time eligible POT boosters. I don't know how many there are.

This draft class is similar to last year's, but with 16/23/12 single/double/con booster forwards compared to 14/20/8 last year, and nominally slightly deeper otherwise. As usual, judge for yourself rather than taking the project OV at face value, since that's only used for making autopicks.
