Back-to-back SIM days are nice, let alone a few days of only a handful of games. On to the beatings!

In a top of the West (!?!?) battle, DET and COL go blow for blow until the top line for the Avs (and the league) put in back-to-back goals, the last of which on the PP. DET's Brett Howden played out of his mind, but couldn't drag them to the W in Pronger-esque fashion.

In an East/West match up of powerful teams, TOR puts the hurt to LA, though in fairness, that's a closer game as the final goal was an empty-netter. 50% PP got the job done otherwise.

BOS is fighting for a playoff spot and offing the Pens 4-2 helps. Both teams did well on the powerplay, and again, the final goal was an empty netter so it was close throughout. Morin beat Latendresse to try and amp the crowd, but too little to late. (In fairness, I knew Morin was a fighter, but went to check out Latendresse - holy F! 21 fights in 16/17. Go with God my man)

Finally, STL continues a little skid, dropping to the Coyotes 3-1. Nothing crazy, STL needs to get some power play time to push out of this thing likely. Gotta get Dahlin his cookies.
