So Friday the 13th fell on a Saturday this month, which turned out to be bad news for our hard working leader (who, let's be honest, deserves the cup more than anyone here), as Jack Campbell played like IRL Jack Campbell, allowing 5 goals on 28 shots. The third-ish line of Tkachuk-Kakko-Tarasenko was about as good as their IRL counterparts were in this year's playoffs, going -2 on the night with Tarasenko the only one to pick up a point. Across the ice, Taylor Hall and Freddy Gauthier played like McDavid and Draisaitl with 4pts each.
Meanwhile the Blackhawks' fourth line of Booth-Seaman-Korneev played just 8:20 but were also on the ice for two goals against as the Blues push things to a game seven. Considering the Hawks were up 2-0 at the end of the first, one has to wonder why their fourth line saw the ice at all in the 2nd and 3rd, let alone enough to give up two goals. Eric Tangradi, of all people, led the way with 3pts for the Blues, while Gibson allowed just two goals on 24 shots.
And good night

Well, that's disappointing. Losing dramatically in game 7 in LA would have been more on point. Anyway, it's not too surprising when your goalies shit the bed 2/6 games and three of your top goalscorers combine for 1 assist total in 10 games.
Anyway, for any fans paying attention, don't worry about three of the top playoff performers being 37+ year old UFAs.
