To Edmonton
Rick Nash (86)
DET 1st 2024
To Winnipeg
Evgeny Kuznetsov (61)
EDM 3rd 2024
Probably makes no sense mid to long term to move Kuz for Nash; one will continue to put up 74 pts per season for another 8-9 years, while the other probably has only 2 more elite seasons in him, but the pick swap helps with sending Kuznetsov.
Regardless, this season is a waste and I need to shake things up.
Thanks Trevor!

Re: EDM/WPG
Winnipeg agrees (retention on Nash included)
Nash is a beast but thinking longer term, for a possible new GM coming in to have Kuznetsov's high-end offense signed long-term, at a reasonable rate for a player of his calibre, makes sense. Nash will probably be done by the time the giant collection of picks Winnipeg has is ready to contribute to a cup-contending roster, whereas Kuznetsov should still be going strong.
