Columbus trades: Jan Hejda (85), Teddy Ruth (79), and Taylor Ellington (73)
Los Angeles trades: Ryan Smyth (79)
I needed to trade for a left winger and trade away one of my many defensemen in the process. It just so turns out that I have to trade three of them, but I can afford Ryan Smyth's contract and I could really use his LE. His high SH will play well with Brassard and give me another top six forward. I've got McIlrath, McNally, and Andersson in the system to help me overcome the loss of Ruth and Ellington and I can replace Hejda with John Moore who is NHL ready.

Accepted
Really happy to make some cap space. Ryan Smyth was very good to me, but is salary was just too high. Hejda will fill nicely the 7th defenseman hole. The two d-man prospect, Ellington and Ruth will really help my farm team. They have both a NHL future, that's why i've made this move.
