Atlanta sends:
2nd Atlanta 2011
Montreal sends:
D Dan Hamhuis (82)
Thrashers accept.
Reasoning:
Naturally this pick could end up being thirty-one overall next June, but it is a chance I'm willing to take. My recent draft picks and acquisitions will take at least a full year to develop down in Chicago. At the pro-level the roster is just starved for talent. Hamhuis is signed to a reasonable contract and has a click that will play well with Bogosian. If the draft is anything like this year's I could probably get a similarly rated player with this pick, however I'd again have to wait the development process. This trade makes the Atlanta roster somewhat more competitive.

Accepted.
I liked Hamhuis, he played quite well for my team, but I didn't want to pass up acquiring another top 60 pick for next year's draft. I'm hoping to replace Hamhuis via free agency, or let the young Smaby play.
