New Jersey sends:
C Joe Colborne (60)
Minnesota 1st (15th)
Tampa Bay 1st (30th)
Atlanta sends:
F Ilya Kovalchuk (80)
Reasoning
My roster pretty much makes this a no brainer. I'm glad the previous GM left me a fresh roster to play with, but Atlanta's roster is pretty bare otherwise. I've been itching to get back into the first round, and this draft is a great draft to do so. The point.. stockpile assets. Gormley, 15, 30, Colborne is a good start.

Accepted, after all the Dmen I was really concerned with getting were picked I felt I'd have to go forward to make ful use of the pick but none of the forwards were exactly what I wanted. With this trade I add a major league sniper for Seguin when he is ready, Seguin himself kind of made Colborne as a center useless even though it was hard to part with I feel we both got a good deal and got what we wanted, thanks Thrashers and good luck.

Re: Atlanta Thrashers -- New Jersey Devils
The Committee has approved this trade.
We feel that Kovalchuk is a great talent, already fully developed and Atlanta will have to wait a bit for their three players. Colborne is pretty much NHL ready, but the other two good players in the draft will take a bit of time.
Entered.
