Montreal Canadiens 4 Philadelphia Flyers 3 (OT)

Pittsburgh Penguins 4 Nashville Predators 5 (OT)

A busy Saturday night with goals aplenty, as usual, but no shootouts. Congrats to the Washington Capitals and Semyon Varlamov for being the first team so far to hold the opposition to just one goal, which is close enough to a shutout. Several barns burned down in Buffalo.

Now for the annoying technicalities:

A lot of GMs haven't updated your farm lines since last season, meaning we have to do fastsigns and auto them for you. Please fix your farm lines, otherwise you'll vopatize your vets and potentially stunt youngsters' growth.

WPG, LA, NAS, NJ, NYI and TOR over the cap. TOR will be under once Frk gets bought out - I didn't do that today because he hadn't cleared waivers yet. NYI and WPG didn't play and should get under easily, whereas NJ has more work to do. LA, unfortunately I had to send down DeAngelo and Demko to get close to 58M, but they're still over and need immediate adjustments to get back under. The same goes for NAS, who are over because they're carrying 23 players even though Nash is back and could have played.

Nice start to the season. Hopefully the re-tooling on the fly will work.
