Rearviewmirror by Pearl Jam
2. Best book you've ever read?
Ugly Americans by Ben Mezrich

Easily Matt Damon. Hate his politics, but the dude is a bad ass actor with an outstanding résumé.

One of the beaches in Greece.
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)

Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
1. What is your favorite driving song?
- Light of Day, Day of Darkness by Green Carnation (same song I gave last week... hour long and glorious, haha - before you know it, you've arrived at your destination, or at least an hour closer)
2. Best book you've ever read?
- Foundation by Isaac Asimov
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
- Bradley Cooper (apparently I look like him...)
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
- Scotland or Russia
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
- might've been Bambi actually when I was a kid, or the Fox & Hound.

Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
!. What is your favourite driving song?
- I think definitely Click, Click Boom by Saliva. Unfortunately I don't have a manual though so it doesn't work as well.
2. Best book you've ever read?
- The Tucker Max story.
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
- My first choice would be Denzel Washington, but that might be a little tough to pull off, so I would have to say Keifer Sutherland.
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
- Spain. Real Madrid. Take in a soccer game.
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
- I honestly can't remember a time in the past few years, but when I was young, probably Homeward bound, or bambi I don't know. I cant remember a movie in the past half-dozen years.

Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
1. What is your favorite driving song?
Dead And Gone - T.I. feat. Justin Timberlake.
2. Best book you've ever read?
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Price, lol.
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
Sacha Baron Cohen. I don't think action stars like Kiefer Sutherland or Daniel Craig fit the role of a twenty-year-old who's been at school all his life. Guys like Denzel, Clooney, and Norton would be better, but they're far too old, and Cohen can turn anything into funny (unless he's Bruno).
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
The Great Wall in China, or the casinos in Macau. I'd like to see what it's like compared to Vegas (even though I haven't been to either).
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
Star Wars. Darth Vader scared the shit outta me.

Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
1. What is your favorite driving song?
Tough call, there's so many good ones. For the sake of an answer, I'll say "Given Up" by Linkin Park. I'm not a Linkin Park fan by any means, but that song is pretty jammin.
2. Best book you've ever read?
I'm not big into books, but most of the ones I have read are pretty solid. I actually really enjoyed Marty Brodeur's book, but I'll say The Green Mile by Stephen King.
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
I guess I'd have to go with Johnny Depp, if only because he's proven he can play the craziest of characters.
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
This is going to sound insane and possibly stupid, but I'd love to go to Mars. No joke. On Earth, probably some of the old concentration camps from WWII. I love history and am fascinated by that whole time period.
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
I know this sounds like a total cop-out, but I honestly don't remember crying during any movie. I've felt incredible sadness over some of them, and I remember being really depressed over some of the ones previously mentioned from when I was real little (Fox and the Hound, Bambi, etc.). If I actually think of anything concrete though, I'll post it.

Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
1. What is your favorite driving song?
Too many to name, probably some Ukrainian polka
2. Best book you've ever read?
Not much of a book reader, but I'll go with 'The Great Gretzky' by Terry Jones.
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
I've been told I look like James Marsden, whoever that is.
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
I've been to the most important places, but if I were to choose another one it would be for sporting reasons. Dolphins Stadium.
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
Lion King, emotional roller coaster.

Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
1. What is your favorite driving song? Neil Young - Words(Between the Lines of Age)
2. Best book you've ever read? Fooled by Randomness
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you? I just saw Natural Born Killers the other night, so I'll go with Woody Harrelson. We look nothing alike, but that was one of the sickest performances I've seen.
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die? I don't really have any burning desire to go visit anywhere....but if I had to choose a place it be the coliseums in Rome(if thats even where they are) where people/gladiators would fight/die.
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie) I'm with Nick, I've never had my faucets turned on during a movie but when I was young (8 or 9 iirc) on the way to one of my hockey games "My heart will go on" the lead track to Titanic came on the radio. I had just seen it, and I dunno....all of sudden BOOM! Im crying like a baby. Kinda embarrassing walking into the locker room with puffy red eyes but we won the game and I only let one goal in so things worked out.

1. What is your favorite driving song?
Anything elektro/house. If not, I like to listen to Coldplay.
2. Best book you've ever read?
Harry Potter 1.
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
First one that comes to mind is Will Ferrell. Doesn't match my personality but he's funny and mostly vulgar and I like that. Also like Jim Carrey and Allan from the Hangover. But I'd have to go with Adam Sandler, cause he can be an everyday normal guy.
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
Maldives (look it up), Bora Bora(look it up), Greece, Vegas, Beverly Hills (does that include the Playboy mansion?), etc.
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
My eyes were balling on Homeward Bound too! When the cat fell in the river and when Shadow got stuck in that hole I turned into a cry machine. Also cried my ass off when the kid lets the dog go in Air Bud (basketball one) and most recently, when Marley gets put down in Marley & Me. There's a lot of other movies, but I can only think of these animal ones!

My dog is 12 years old and I refuse to watch Marley & Me for that reason. I well up with tears even when I start to think about my dog Brandy and how she's getting up there in age.Penguin wrote:and most recently, when Marley gets put down in Marley & Me.

I was never allowed to have a dog and still balled out. But, it's a really good movie. I think it would make you love your dog even more.
Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
Isn't funny how most of us have cried over an animal/dog from a movie(whether real or animated), but no one's really mentioned a person?

Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
Mostly because of the way I worded the question. I'm sure others have gotten emotional over movies like Schindler's List or maybe Passion of the Christ if they're religious like that. But you don't watch those as a kid.Tuo-SabresGM wrote:Isn't funny how most of us have cried over an animal/dog from a movie(whether real or animated), but no one's really mentioned a person?

Schindler's List definitely. Shadowlands also. And the end of Remains of the Day, when Anthony Hopkins turns away from Emma Thompson. And Rambo, when he pulls the bullet out of his arm and screams,

1. What is your favorite driving song?
The only thing I use my driver's license for is to prove my age.
2. Best book you've ever read?
Catch-22 (good call Bub)
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
Sean Bean. It'd be a pretty boring movie if they made it now though and considering he's a good 26 years older than me he may not be the best choice.
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
Another planet with a breathable atmosphere sounds a bit ambitious, so I'll just go with Prague.
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
Shame and self-consciousness force me to bravely hold back tears in any movie, so I'll have to go with Peter Jackson's King Kong for nearly making me shed tears of boredom and frustration.
Ok fine, maybe I sniffled a little at Life is Beautiful.

1. What is your favorite driving song?
I'll tell you when I buy a car.
2. Best book you've ever read?
Can't remember the last time I read for fun, but the Hardy Boys series was good when my age was in the single digits.
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
I don't know.
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
Los Angeles. I will never get tired of that city.
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
I don't know, but I definitely cried with laughter watching The Hangover.

Re: Five Question Friday 3/12/2010
1. What is your favorite driving song?
- I find that the best driving songs are borderline shitty songs that you'd enjoy singing in the car being obnoxious with yer friends, so in that category we've got
"Paper Planes," MIA
"The Way we Get By," Spoon
anything by Andrew WK,
and of course, Phantom Planet's "California," a legendarily terrible song right up there with the best of Journey.
2. Best book you've ever read?
Read quite a bit, I think near the top of the list is always Kurt Vonnegut's Cat's Cradle and Mark Anthony Jarman's Dancing Nightly in the Tavern. The best thing I've read in the last couple months was either Rabbit Run by John Updike or Blaise Cendrars' Dan Yack, which I haven't finished yet.
3. If a movie was made about your life, who would you want to play you?
-Well, no point making the movie now, but I'd love to see what Nic Cage would do with the role...
4. What place do you want to visit the most before you die?
-Napoli
5. First movie that you remember crying while watching? (and don't play the bullshit alpha male stuff; we've all cried during a movie)
-some terrible children's stuff no doubt. Fox and the Hound is still unbearably sad - or how about in D3 when Hans died? That movie's terrible, but that's sad.
