I had many picks in the draft and this a move I see for the future also. Brodin should be nice top 4 Dman for the future no doubt. And I dont feel I could find any better in those rounds of drafts and he signed long term. My D needed to get younger.

I already have a good core of young d-men, so Brodin was expendable. For a rebuilding team like mine, those picks are worth a lot.
