David Backes (repeat offender) gets 6 games for injuring Dan Girardi for two months.

Three-point nights for McDonagh, Bouchard, and Perry, and a 6-2 win for the Rangers over Ottawa. Bye-bye Girardi, though;
The equalizer and the OT winner come late in both frames, as Edmonton stuns Washington, 4-3;
Pittsburgh manages more shots on the power play than Philly has for the entire game, and takes this battle of PA, 4-2;
Nashville sneaks out of the Bell Centre with a 4-3 victory over Montreal;
Detroit gets a four-goal second period and rides 11 power plays to a 5-3 win over Minnesota;
Congrats on your first NHL goal, Jacob de la Rose! Too bad it was your team's only goal of the night: Tampa wins 5-1;
Arizona goes full throttle on Chicago, to the tune of a 6-4 fire wagon-style win;
Joel Armia celebrates his new captaincy with 2 goals and Dallas knocks in three PP goals to top Boston, 3-2.

One more night of games before an extended five-day break.
