The B's coasts after a 3 goal outburst in the 1st period against the Canes. Martin gives me a headache with his lines, but I still give him the 2 points against a struggling Wild team. Scott Gomez scores his first as a Duck, the Ducks win the battle of Cali. Buffalo continues to impress with a 3-1 win against Mr. Walters buds. Tavares who? Glennie scores twice as the Flyers narrowly defeat Vik's Habs. The Bolts strike 6 times in the 3rd period to blow open what was a close game early on against the Isles. David Shields, Juliens favorite EHEC d-men, scores his 1st career NHL goal. Stamkos scores twice to give NJ a dominant win over Nero's Avs. Bub's Rags storm back in the third only to succumb to Scott Hartnells GWG late in the final frame. In a battle of two founding members, Adam's BJ's get a 4-1 win over Dr. Taranu. Patrick Sharp can't get to San Jose soon enough as the Sharks struggles are a surprise early on this EHEC season. Eaves brings the Preds to their knees with two cherries giving the Jets the W. Binkles Blues comes up short against a Washington GM who has yet to appear. Julien is able to hold off a late Sens push and grabs the W.
Notes: CAR AHL, injuries.
DAL NHL, Vladimir Mihalik to AHL. Emergency, can only be there 7 days.
WSH fastsigned someone for the AHL.

My boxscore isn't right.
That's wins over the Canes, the Yotes and now the Sens.
Pretty impressive despite injuries/suspension and a nice way to get back on track after a tough 6 games winless streak.
Go Flames!!

Re: November 15th, 2014
It's probably a bug in the website, it's loading boxscore #2570 from the preseason for my game instead of #257. I'll look at it tomorrow. In the meantime, you can just load up ehechockey.com/files/boxscores.ehm and scroll to the bottom.
As for the game, what can I say? Cogliano got a goal, that's nice. The powerplay is now below 10%. I don't know whether to laugh or laugh harder. 84.2% is the combined effectiveness of PP+PK.
I guess having played 14 games on the road already and only 5 at home doesn't help either. The fuck, NHL?

Winnipeg's over the cap for the moment (just have to demote the newly signed Howard to get back under).
Chris Phillips is down to a 73 POT.
Was Mihalik demoted by Dallas or by Justin to get Dallas down to 23 skaters?

Booked by Vik again, well played. And yes, Mihalik went down since Ahnelov was just there.

Hopefully no one's missing out on a point by not getting their goalie pulled in the dying minutes of a close game.Tampa Bay GM wrote:Booked by Vik again, well played.
Well I'd wait for Bubbles but I'd suggest he probably shouldn't be on waivers then. From the looks of their lines, their scratches were all waiver eligible so they are to blame for it. But one of their waiver free fellows could've been demoted and replaced in the lines by someone else (or just auto lines) so I'd chalk it up to a mistake and give them a chance to fix things rather than have them potentially lose a player.Tampa Bay GM wrote:And yes, Mihalik went down since Ahnelov was just there.
But like I said, I'd wait for a ruling from Mr. Webber before putting him on waivers or not.

Re: November 15th, 2014
It wasn't a mistake. Gleason, Ahnelov, and Mihalik were the only players that weren't in his starting lineup. Ahnelov was just there, Gleason > Mihalik, so Mihalik went down. In hindsight I could of edited their NHL and AHL lineups, but at the time I thought this was the best solution since it kept both lineups intact.Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:If it was a mistake, he shouldn't lose a player.Tampa Bay GM wrote: Well I'd wait for Bubbles but I'd suggest he probably shouldn't be on waivers then. Ok, sounds fine. I for one don't think GMs should lose players for actions we have to take on their behalf. Or, at least not until we tell them that will happen.

I agree. I didn't do it with any malicious intent, my goal was to keep his NHL lineup the way Martin wanted it. I also didn't think he would mind losing Mihalik's contract.Commish Bub(NYR) wrote:Ok, sounds fine. I for one don't think GMs should lose players for actions we have to take on their behalf. In the future, I will make small changes to starting lineups instead of demoting waiver eligible players.

Np. What I don't want is for GMs to leave things to the simmer, in hopes that we won't waive a player and will make their decisions for them. If this becomes a "thing" then we'll start doing just that.Tampa Bay GM wrote:I agree. I didn't do it with any malicious intent, my goal was to keep his NHL lineup the way Martin wanted it.
