In less than a week, the Chicago Blackhawks and the Colorado Avalanche have made a second transaction.

Chicago send:
Brian Campbell (75)
Scott Laughton (82)
Kasperi Kapanen (82)

in exchange

Colorado sends:
Nikita Gusev (61)
Oskar Osala (76)


My take: I really loved Kapanen. Future very good player. It was the price to pay to save some money by moving Campbell. I had been shopping Campbell for a while. Laughton would not have seen playing time for me for a while. With the addition of Gusev, I can really build a very good 2nd offensive line. Osala adds grit and defense to my team. Again, Kapanen was the price to let go to make this deal happen.

With moving out some dman I needed another dman in the sysyem right not.
I have moved enough salary to obtain Campbell and he is pretty good piece still.
Love Kapanen and I think he has bright future ahead. Very solid prospect and Laughton will make 3rd or 4th line very good in some time.
