Agreed! This deal I think will make me a younger better team now and in the future...was a deal I couldn't turn down. Looked at a lot of deals for.vanek and turned them all down until the.offer was upped by adding neal to the deal.

As much as I love Jakub Voracek and James Neal, I just had to go for Vanek. Took a couple offers but we finally got this deal done. In every trade talks, Neal's name comes up and every time it's was hard no. When I felt this one was slipping away from me I had to include him. Buffalo lands a shutdown center, a solid all-around forward in Voracek who can play on any line and on special teams and McKegg who projects as a 84OF center.

If the committee feels a new GM needs mentorship before moving a piece like Vanek, same can be said for Nashville and Ryan Ellis. If this is what it comes down to, the Jacques/Ellis needs to be rejected too.

Just so everyone knows I'm not a rookie gm...actually help run a league...and have been apart of ehm for 10 yrs...I understand vanek is a big peice to move but he will be commanding upwards of 7 mill and is gaining age...I get 4guys all under 26 and under good contracts and allow me to start creating anice shutdown line with kassian & neal.. and still gain guy a in voracek who can play top 6 and McKegg who will hit 84 off another top 6 guy...ive been fielding offers and was almost content to keep him until neal and voracek were in the deal together and then I even asked.for mckegg to be tossed in.

Not being a jerk appreciate that you care about what happens to the teams shows true commitment to the league and a great gm! Just wanted to let people know I'm not new
