Reasoning: Current roster has left me stuck in neutral recently. A solid collection of players and zero other pieces to add on to the club. In essence, this is an asset deal. Four for one [albeit really good] was too much to pass on.

Aye. Jackets confirm. This clears up the potential logjam I'd have at forward for the upcoming season and serious improves my group of defensemen. The salaries are probably around even after Kitsyn gets a raise and Higgins will have some value in the faceoff dot as a one-year rental player. Hard to lose Kitsyn, but I've regretted trading Erik Gudbranson since the day I did and Gormley's a bit more balanced and will be a nice safety net with some of my more offensive defensemen.
