I know the final just ended but thought I'd post it anyway. Commitee can rule on this one when time comes.

Wanted to trade up in the 1st round and Dallas seemed like a great trade partner. I'm moving up 5 spots and trading 2 players I didn't want back next season. Dallas gets a starting goalie and a reliable defenseman, still gets a mid-1st round pick + a high 2nd rounder.

Falling 5 spots back in the first round is acceptable price to pay for me while considering the fact that I'm getting another pretty strong 2nd round in this 2014 entry draft as a some-kind-of-compensation and number one goalie, which I have been looking for since day one I became the GM of Dallas and Rinne is the man for me. Another bonus thing for me is to acquire Dylan Olsen, who is solid defensively and still young, which fits for my young team on the rise pretty well.
