Whatever it is, just might get some deals done fast cause some GM might make a deal with another one that normally wouldnt happen thru PM or whatever.......seen it happen ALOT

Adam put one up just for the draft in previous years and it worked pretty well. I don't think anyone would use it regularly at other times, though.

Also, I don't really understand why people are rushing to post contract offers. Especially since a few of them are going to get modified by E5 bonuses and many of them are based on current stats rather than fast-sim stats... and that's all assuming that none of the policies change for this offseason.

I can say that I did mine because I wanted to look at my options for next season, as well as the fact that I actually don't even really know where to look for what the formula actually is other than using the Excel sheet. Is the Excel sheet not good enough? If it isn't, is there somewhere else where all the rules are in one place? Is the PDF rulebook up to date?

The rulebook's fine, but as far as I understand, even if we're sticking with the old system, E5 bonuses need to be added first, and a lot of players need to use fastsim ratings rather than their current ones.

Sorry I haven't been around the last few days, guys. We had to make the awful decision to put my dog down on Wednesday and I've been a mess for two days. I've tried to be out of the house as much as possible because it just doesn't feel right without her. I'll try to get back to things on Monday, but I intend to be home very little this weekend.

That sucks. My cat is 15, but I've only had him for 5 years. I think he owes me a few extra years at least.

Guys, just fyi -- I'm going to advance the file a couple of days, to get us to the date for POT boosters. What I'll do:
...recent staff movements
...enter ELCs for 2014 draftees
...recent waiver posts
...draft rewards
...recent trades

What I won't do:
...all other contracts

That way you can see who's boosted and adjust any contract offers, etc, that you might wish. We'll still be ahead of the EHM season rollover, so don't worry about losing players, etc. We're beginning the arbitration process and are still likely several days out from the free agent frenzy. As they say when you're stuck on the tarmac and can't fucking go anywhere anyway "Thanks for your patience."

Also, since I have to download the file to my computer, please not that any changes you make--from now to tomorrow morning--to players, lines, etc, using the website will NOT be reflected in the next posted file. I'll probably get to this work sometime later tonight. Fair warning.

Boo urns to that result... none of my lazy boosters even bothered writing their name on a contract. Although one farmer booster is better than nothing.

Side note question though regarding ELC's.

Jeremy Rotevall signed to a 1.1 mil ELC (draft slot 900k + pot booster 250k)... but his pot is 64 and he's 20 years old. Hence he will never boost and not a booster, no?

So I ask is a player still considered a booster at 6 pot and 20+ yrs old?
or 5 pot and 25+ yrs old?

I plan to assign U19 boosters to the AHL, and send them back to juniors in-game right before the next rollover. While we don't currently have a rule against it, and EHM itself wouldn't prevent it in-game, is the league going to allow this?

I've heard that players can boost at 24, although some say they've seen guys boost at 25. So, yeah, Rotevall's still eligible for a boost even though he's 20.

Not sure what the issue is here; you can move guys up and down even from AHL to juniors, as long as you don't go over the u-19 limit. At least, we've never regulated this kind of player movement. Is there something else I'm missing?

Yeah...Fejes hasn't boosted yet, and Kiselevich is a total failure as a booster.

No, this has never been regulated. CHI (femur) did this with Dalton Smith. However, I wanted to know in advance if this type of move would be prevented; the max 50 contract rule seems to be a way of stopping teams from loading up boosters.

I don't see a problem if you meet your AHL U20 rule and your 50 organizational contracts maximum.

Okay, and I think that is a good ruling. If the league prevented U19 AHL players from being re-assigned to juniors, teams could have a maximum of two or three boosters comfortably. This way it allows teams to have four or five boosters, and not worry about injury replacements.

Not arguing and if that is the rule I can most certainly roll with it... used to be a bit obsessed trying to figure out how EHM ticked and I remember spending an entire day with a modified file with 100 boosters of varying age/pot/con... after 100 tests with the 100 boosters I came across two things that never happened, 6 potter boosting at 20+ and a 5 potter boosting at 25+ (could be a year off on that one, going off memory, may be 26+). Just figured I would throw that out there because I have always been looking for proof to the contrary.

I definitely saw Matt McCue (25 yo, 59 pot, 74 con) boost more than once in test sims last offseason. He didn't in-game and I didn't track exactly how many times it happened because I was more interested in actual good prospects boosting.

I posted an offer to Brendan Lemieux right after I drafted him, and he didn't sign on time. You guys enter the contracts manually anyways no? At 89CON, he boosted 8 out of 10 times in my test sim. This sucks

No they don't, and it's not Bub's fault he's still considering the offer in-game. Two of my boosters, including my best one, didn't sign either.

We enter UFA and re-signings into the file; ELCs get offered and they sign when they sign. One of my boost prospects signed on time and didn't boost either.

They're going, evidently, but I would be more worried about the number of teams who haven't offered anything to their free agents at all. Y'all have to get on the ball too.

I assume absentee GMs will just get default offers for their players or something. Flooding the league with free agents from neglectful GMs would be bad...
