While Chad Kolarik has done a good job occupying the center position between Semin and Gailev on my top scoring line, if we wanted to contend with the best in my conference I needed an upgrade. I love Jankowski, and I really wish I had managed his development better but with Galchenyuk and Barkov on the Marlies, it was becoming increasingly difficult to try and get him minutes while keeping the team competitive. I'm also hoping Henrik can light a fire under Semin's ass and get him scoring again while providing a better overall game.

Short explanation - As I said, Dallas Stars is in a little bit of a rebuilding process now and that's why I did this. This trade provides me with really good prospect Mark Jankowski and both good offensive (Kolarik) and defensive player (Exelby) and they both together take less than Sedin's salary himself which is good. Bonus thing for me is that 3rd round pick, my team will benefit from this trade in a long-term but on the other hand, will not weaken Dallas aswell. Overall, good trade for me and thanks.
