Not a good night for the Bruins as EHM gives them the double bird with a 2-0 loss to Dallas and a two-month injury to Sven Baertschi. Kevin Bieksa was suspended six games by EHM. Also a bad loss to the Swiss team for the upcoming Olympics. In other action, the Rangers had an epic fail of a third period and lost in penalty shots to the Red Wings. A Boy Named Gal scores the first of what probably won't be many NHL goals, but tonight's was certainly a big one as he's the first star in the Yotes win over the Nucks. The Jets double the Flames in shots but Rick DiPietro steals two points for the Flames. Questionable officiating dominates the night as the Bolts have 12 powerplays to the Isles' zero in a 3-1 win. The Kings get homered in St. Louis as the Blues spend a lot of time with the man advantage in a 3-2 W. The Oilers nearly climb out of a 3-0 hole but fall flat in the third.

In Malmo, the Finns are your World Junior champions with a 6-3 win over the Americans.

That's what we have depth for, I suppose.

That big paragraph scared me.

Odd I was just thinking about how Hemsky & Kostitsyn are having fairly quiet years, then Hemsky opens the scoring and Kostitsyn scores 2 short handed goals on the same powerplay.

Dan Boyle & Mike Fisher with 5's, atta way.

Big matchup on deck with the Leafs.

Hey, thanks Bieksa. You're still not making team Canada, jackass. Or maybe you're trying to catch Parker's eye with a knack for injuring my players

I can't say I expected a 4-3 win with the goals coming from the 3rd & 4th lines but I'll take another successful Ersberg backup win whenever I can get it, especially coming from behind in the 3rd.

Everybody owes Dion and Ricky D an apology for tonight's game.
Specially The Burmistor. Horrible, just horrible.

Let's get some leadership back in this lineup.

Should I bring Ivan Telegin on Team Russia?

Do you want a 99 HI forward Y/N?

And damn, looking through the Russian roster, do we ever have a lot of 80+ off low con forwards, half of whom fucked off to the KHL in real life. I'm looking at you, Alexander "Playoff Beast" Radulov, and Kirill "3 goals in the AHL this season" Kabanov.

Finally the PP shows up....and the defense quits. Gotta do better. Still, seeing some improvement as we tumble on.

Was laughing with Tommy last night about Bohumil Jank, who is great in our file and probably in Europe somewhere IRL. Made me ask about Mike Forney, who is currently playing in Austria.

Remember, no H&G tactic for the Olympics!

Gal Koren's gonna score lots of goals. :P Hopefully even more than Andrej Nestrasil and Chris Brown! (I honestly have no idea how those guys are potting so many goals with such limited talent and ice time)

Ah, Phoenix: the team that makes backup goalies look like superstars, and makes superstar goalies play like backups.

I think the only way I could be competitive in the Olympics was if I could use the borders of Nazi-Occupied Europe.
