Reasoning: First trade of the season! It was really sad to let Budish go. I plucked him out of MTL and he developed into a capable bottom six-winger who flourished went given more ice-time in my top six. While his production has been great, ultimately I'm not going to be able to give him the minutes he needs to match last seasons 25 goal outbreak. Being able to land a bonafide top-six winger in Voracek, who can fight and play big minutes, was something I had to do even if it meant getting rid of some personal favorites. Aliu, like Budish, has been producing offensively even with limited ice-time. Freeing him for Fem and CHI allowed Aliu to develop his hitting, and chip in a few goals when he was asked to play a larger role.

Lehtinen was included for salary reasons, and the picks off-set the difference in value between Budish+Aliu and Voracek. Although I wanted it to be a 2nd and 4th, ANA wouldn't budge on CLB 3rd.

Reasoning:

My team is going no where, so i've decided to rebuild and acquire some key player to be more competitive. I look at top team and i really saw that i miss a lot of physical player to be competitve. With this addition, i get Budish, a really good Power Foward with 90 HI, who can play both side of the ice. He will give me some good minutes on a 2nd or 3rd line. Budish has an other advantage, he has a really good contract for this type of player. Aliu is a risk because of his low cons, but if i developped him well, this risk could become a really good one. He should be a really good 3rd line center on a physical line. I also acquire 2 more draft picks for this years's draft , this give me the chance to pick some usefull guys in this draft or trade them to get an other good player. And for Lehtinen, like TB said, i take him for his salary, but he could be a great assets in case of injured player.

With this trade and the calgary's one, i think that my teams is getting some good base to work with and i filled some weekness. I added some good hitters (Budish(90HI), Aliu(Future 89), Geersten(91)). I also add picks, this will help me to draft some key player or trade them to get good players. My team is looking well balanced now.
