Acquiring Staal forces me to move a depth defenceman for cap reasons. Kurt Sauer is a long-time Coyote and personal favorite (not to mention the whole "can't let him fall into the wrong hands" argument) so Morrisonn is the odd man out. As Morrisonn was a waiver claim I wasn't looking for a huge return, and the Wild were looking to add some physicality on the blueline, so this seems like a pretty good match. It's a pleasure doing business with you, Chris.

Phoenix approves this trade.
