WPG sends:
Adam Gilmour (91)
2nd PIT 2014
NYR sends:
Artem Anisimov (76)
Reasoning: It's no secret my guys have had a very disappointing season to this point. I'm not sure I can really pinpoint the biggest hurdle, but when I attempt to develop lines RW always tends to be an issue. Strategically, Boyes and Havlat both belong in top six roles, however, neither are well suited for hit and grind or trapping lines.
My club could also stand to add another 80+ shooting forward as Brad Boyes is the only Jet to crack 20 goals thus far. Artem is under control for two additional seasons at a reasonable $3.1M. Oh, and he can play RW.
Trading Gilmour may eventually be a transaction I'll come to regret. But as my roster is currently constructed he is a C/LW, looking to crack a top six with Huberdeau/Bergeron/Couture/Couturier covering those four spots.

Rangers confirm.
Gilmour and Anisimov project fairly closely, but I like Gilmour more long-term. He'll have slightly less offense (esp SH), but better defense and hitting. Better skating, higher CON, and a better FA rating, which makes him a better fit at center. Tom is obviously getting the better short-term deal, as Anisimov should help his playoff run this year (and next). But I'm hoping to reap the longer term benefits. The pick is also another liquid asset, to use or to bargain with.
Nice dealing with you Tom, even if you did hold on to Pacioretty.
Good luck!
