After finally taking the time to look it up thanks to Columbus's real-life status with John Moore, I will be amending our underager rule. For now, 3 players under the age of 20 will still be allowed, however, the CHL/AHL Transfer Agreement states that any player who turns 20 by December 31st of the calendar year is eligible to play in the AHL.
To mirror real life, we will also be adopting this policy. So if you have a 19 year old player that turns 20 by 12/31/10, that player WILL NOT count as an underage farm player.
So if you want a 19 year old who does not turn 20 before 1/1/11, then he will count as an underager until he turns 20.

Re: Underage Farm Team Rule Change
I am necromancing this thread to point out that this rule doesn't appear to be in the rulebook and so a lot of newer GMs are probably unaware of it. If it is in the rulebook then I just suck at searching.

12/31/10?....did I travel back in time?
edit:
None of my 19 year olds are eligible.
