TO MINNESOTA
TJ Oshie(74)
TO ST.LOUIS
Colton Gillies(86)
Cal Clutterbuck(80)
2013 MIN 3rd round
confirm
Reasoning: This team lacks offense heavily and parting with 2 unporportioned defensive minded players to net a gain on offense Its a no brainer. Oshie is a huge upgrade to take over at top line center from Gillies The 3rd I threw in just to somewhat cover the lack of offense and sweeten the deal. Plus in the mean time this puts me back at the roster max of 23 players.
Good luck St Louis thanks for the deal

Re: ST.LOUIS/MINNESOTA
Kinda sucks to trade away a 3rd Original Blues member in a week but business is business.
I've been looking to add grit up front for a while now. I believe you need to have a physical side to your game to survive in the playoffs and it was a glaring weakness that I needed to address before the trade deadline. I traded for Chris Kunitz and Brayden Schenn earlier this week and now I'm very excited to add Gillies and Clutterbuck to the mix. I like to believe I'm a lot tougher to play against now.
Again, it sucks to move a player I love but it had to be done. The Blues are heading in a different direction now and his style of play just doesn't fit anymore. Minnesota's getting an offensive minded young forward with a easy contract who just had his breakout season last year. I'm sure he won't regret this deal.
Thanks Chris! Good luck!
