Vermette's contract was getting heavy (4 years). Nice to get a 2nd rounder in return.

Getting help at C position (not very deep there barring an injury). V is a good faceoff guy. Player scout says he should click with Zherdev. Gives me the flexibility to move Elias around. V could be playing with Backstrom and Zherdev, with Elias-Richards-Perry together or V could end up as 3rd line center. He can also play on PK. Mitchell is a cap space gimme and I have D`s that can step in from minors. his contract doesn`t scare me for now since he is only 28 y.o. and most of my players are signed for next year except for Umberger (bye bye) and Green (franchise player!)

Hopefully there will be a minor difference between our picks at the end of the year!
