Lightning send:
G Dustin Tokarski (64)
Thrashers send:
G Edward Pasquale (72)
F Carl Klingberg (78)
Needed a cheap backup G to play next year and into the future. Tokarski will probably be a cheaper Pavelec, even after arbitration. In my mind Oslen + Colorado's 2nd 2011 is a better return than what I sending out. Thus, a net gain in my view.
Atlanta, potentially for the last time, accepts.

Re: TB/ATL
I'm from the CON > POT school, so Pasquale I feel has the potential to be a more reliable backup (or possibly starter one day) and I wanted to get max value for Tokarski after his sick season. Klingberg sealed the deal, a physical presence who should fit perfectly into a 4th line role either as a LW or C.

Re: TB/ATL
Because of the impending FA of Tokarski, what I did was make the trade of Pasquale + Klingberg for Ramo, then manually sent Ramo back to TB and manually traded Tokarski to ATL/WPG.
So, this trade is inputted and Tommy will have to sign Tokarski. Technically, it will be listed as a rights trade, so Tokarski will be up for that process rather than straight arbitration.

Re: TB/ATL
Since the question came up between Tommy and I last night, I want to explain this trade and its implications on future RFA rights trades.
Justin posted a contract offer for Tokarski in his contract offers thread. For our purposes, this is a qualifying offer. So, he would retain Tokarski's rights. At that point, he can determine whether he wants to trade the RFA rights or attempt to get RFA compensation from another team signing him. Justin opted for trading the rights of Tokarski. The likelihood is that Tokarski would have fallen in the 2nd round pick compensation bracket. He could also have gone the offer sheet route if he wanted.
In any event, because a qualifying contract offer was posted, that's why Tokarski is viewed as a rights trade. So, he will have to abide by the rights arbitration process and Tommy will have to have an offer of 90% of what an arbitrator's findings are.
