Washington -- Winnipeg Franchise

Capitals send:
Rights to: F Teemu Selanne (73)

To Be Determined sends:
4th ATL 2011 (#98)

Reasoning: Probably won't happen in the NHL, but a nostalgia move more than anything. Teemu is probably the most recognizable Jet from the 1995-96 squad that's still around the league. Outside of Doan of course. With his 81 shooting attribute, my hope is that he will be a cheap goal scoring option for 2011-12.

Fuck I was going to make an offer today for Selanne. But he will look much better in a Winnipeg sweater.

Confirmed. Teemu didn't really fit well in after my shift to a defensive-oriented system and I didn't intend to bring him back. Likely finishing his prestigious career in the city that he broke into the league with is a nice send-off and hopefully he can excite the fans in Winnipeg once more (because he sure as hell didn't excite in D.C.).

Listed as not interested in negotiating a new deal will fall under the same criteria as testing the market. So, Selanne, as a rights trade, will be looked at as such and will need to follow the Rights Trading Arbitration policy of an offer of 105% of what an arbitrator suggests.

Traded 4th for Dan Dunn. Then edited.

Inputted.
