This the best I could get for Kronwall. I get good defensemen for the future and a lucky 3rd rounder?

Re: L.A. Kings - Detroit Red Wings
This trade has been rejected by 2/3 Committee vote.
Rather than offer a PMed explanation, we would like to express our thought process in this thread, especially given the previous Detroit rejection. We feel that the gap between Kronwall and Ellington is not sufficiently filled by Davidson and a mid/late 3rd round pick in the 2012 draft. None of the mid/late 3rd round picks from the 2010 EHEC Draft are surefire NHL-caliber talent. Davidson does not project to the NHL. Despite Kronwall's decent price tag, with the Williams deal already completed, finances will not need to come in to play with this trade.
Kronwall is a solid 3rd/4th defenseman with a proven track record. Not to mention, he falls in the 25% decrease bracket on his next contract. But, with Ellington, he is a low-HI defensive defenseman and little growth possibility. The Davidson + 2012 3rd does not fill this gap enough for us to push this trade through.
This same core deal can be attempted one more time.
We ask that any other questions/disagreements be handled via PM to either Ryan or myself.
