Christian Ehrhoff arbitration case results:

Toronto offered 1.6M for Christian Ehrhoff in a one-year contract. My arbitrator suggested 2.1M. My ruling is that Christian Ehrhoff will be awarded 2.1M in arbitration.

The comparable players included:

Jordan Leopold, Brett Clark, Zbynek Michalek, Marc-E Vlasic, and in looking for myself, I looked at Paul Mara, Denis Grebeshkov, and Alex Goligoski. There's a wide range of players in this group. Ehrhoff did make 3.1M in his previous contract, and the 1.55M he is currently at in the file is as a result of re-entry waivers.

I definitely have to rule on the highest possible value between TOR's offer and my arbitrator's suggestion. Ehrhoff is a good two-way defenseman and his CON was a deciding factor as to why his contract did not push 2.5M.

Also in consideration was that any contract would be at least a 1M downgrade from his previous contract. That's very rare for a 28 year old defenseman.

So, 2.1M for one year for Christian Ehrhoff. Mike, you can accept/decline this number. If you decline, Ehrhoff will be a UFA. If you accept, he will be signed to this contract for one year.

Auvinen is not a booster, so his contract will be reset to slot of 850,000. He's already 7 POT and therefore cannot boost.
