On a really bad day, we can still beat Ottawa. That's good.
On the flip side, screw you, Andre Lakos.

  • With the Nash injury, Calgary will need a callup (and suddenly have a whole lotta cap space).
  • The Rangers are still at 51 contracts.
  • Dallas is actually more over the cap than yesterday (64,487,707). Looks like they demoted Santini and brought up a minimum salaried replacement but Santini's actually cheaper because of pro-ration. If they reverse that move and demote one of Lynch (waiver eligible) or McKegg (non) and bring up a cheap forward, they'll be under.
  • St. Louis is still slightly over the cap. They could demote one of Wennberg or Rankin waiver free and bring up someone cheaper to get under.
And, in a new twist, the Islanders demoted Sergei Barbashev who is both waiver eligible and making too much to be in the AHL.

Rick Nash came back for the skills competition. He's a warrior.

He obviously skated on one leg.
BTW you should buy some balls to your players. No one has dropped the mites with Lakos...

This will be adressed during the off season.
In the meantime, I'd rather be on top and have no balls than be a goon-squad fighting for a playoff spot.

Yah but you need some balls to win the cup.
