Big grudge match in Montreal, and special teams are the difference as the Habs cruise to a 3-1 over the Bruins. Winnipeg keeps pace at the top of the West with an easy win over the Canucks. Chicago plays spoiler in knocking off the Avalanche on the road. And Anaheim gets a big win at Calgary, but loses captain Zetterberg likely for the rest of the regular season; Calgary's Magnus PS will sit for two games as a result.

I was seven shades of retarded and uploaded some interesting lines super surprised we got the win. #moretalent

That PK is a climbin' (and not Subban).

It's late at night, so maybe I'm not thinking clearly, but someone explain to me how it was possible for Peter Holland to finish the game -1.

He assisted on the 1st goal on the PP, then also assisted on the 3rd goal which was EV. Say he was out there for the lone goal against, he theoretically should have finished even? Unlesss he uhhh passed the puck (as the first assist) and went off for a change then Pavelski scored a superhero esque goal???

Speaking of lines... you might have the best 4th line EHEC ever saw.
I really hope we fix this shit during the off season.

How is it shit? There's no rules saying you can't play a player on any line as long as he's playing his natural/alternate position.

Yeah....huh?

You mean you want to add more line rules?

Boston was a tough game, I thought I'd try out some line matching. They do it in the real show too.

Considering I just had two games in a row with 12-13 shots and Phoenix had a couple as well, you'd better get used to it.

Have you not noticed that EHM often has goals where one forward passes it off to a forward at the same position on a different line? Clearly every team runs a messed up line change system where players don't come on to replace the player at their same position.

Basically, EHM is a messed-up system. Which is why complaining about individual games or even back-to-back whiffs by your team is a foolish endeavor. You'll beat good teams and think you're a genius, then lose to bad teams and put blame elsewhere (Hi Brad!). But it balances out, and the best teams do win more.

I don't EVER recall in the "real show" where a team plays an all day long 2nd line on the fourth line.......that is just a joke....
Can't wait to get home and put together an all star 4th line against the Oilers

This. End of argument. He conformed to the tactic/line rule, yes? And the player position rule? If you understand how EHM matches lines for home and away games, why the fuck not put whoever you want on any line?

Hey Pat, how are you.

STL, it's called line matching bud. If I think my 2nd line can take his, and Im willing to gamble on my 4th line beating his, why the heck not.

You don't have any all stars so that would be troubling to produce, but sure, go ahead.

PS - I'm not the first person to do this, I learned it from a GM in this league that I'm not going to name.

Ya, CGY is out of line here. Let GM's do their thang. Lot's of views remain about how EHM matches lines. If a GM has a idea, let him try it out at his own risk.

I don't remember a game IRL where the Bruins used Shawn Thornton more than Patrice Bergeron.
Line matching? You can't even tell for sure what the other team's line are going to look like come game time.
50-20-10-50 looks bad and so does Kreps on a 2nd line, that's all.
Montreal Canadiens

Re: March 12, 2014

So you're upset that I put a 58/75 F on my 2nd line? Sooo...? Wouldn't that be my disadvantage? I think you all would have laughed had I lost.

But, for the record, Kreps was a mistake, I have to give credit to Pat there I was in a work haze yesterday and uploaded lines with him in it (without posting to call him up) and thankfully he just called him up.

You're right and wrong, you can't tell WHO is going to be on what line and what tactic, but I know for a fact what line my 4th line is going against, just as I know what line my 1st,2nd,and 3rd lines are going against. That is pretty easy to figure out. Like I said, was a gamble. His 2nd line could have blown that makeshift 2nd line out of the water. If we both didn't run NZT on our 2nd lines, his might have won, but I also had home ice somewhat advantage even though I have more home losses than road losses.

I'm honestly completely shocked this is even a concern.

What's 50-20-10-50??

Not when I found a certain GM using the same tactic last season.

Yeah I saw people use it last year, not sure if you were being sarcastic or not, but thats what gave me the idea to try it. I mean it's trademarked for inter-division games :)
