Re: March 22, 2013
Repeat offender Jared Cowen will sit the next two games for taking out Ryan Stoa for a couple of weeks. Anze Kopitar will sit a game for knocking out Jonathan Tavares for the next two weeks.
Alex Ovechkin has six points, four goals and two assists, in a curbstomping of the Dallas Stars. The Capitals get a solid effort from their powerplay in a 4-3 overtime win over the Jets. The Jackets pick up two easy points over the Senators, but lose Stoa for a couple of weeks, putting them down two wingers for tomorrow's game with Nashville. da Hawks lose in the OC, probably from being out in the sun all day looking at the fine snatch by the pool. The Pens and Hurricanes combine for seven powerplay goals as they both take care of business on home ice. Martin Brodeur is a difference maker again for the Avs in a 3-1 win over the Flames.
