Anton Volchenkov will sit the next couple of games out after taking Dan Fritsche out of the lineup for a month.

Penalty disparities make a big difference in the early games as the three losers are shorthanded 27 times. The Sabres use their 10 powerplays to take down the Devils, the Leafs hammer the Islanders, and the Hurricanes get some very one-sided officiating in a win over the Rangers. The Jackets return the favor of a shutout, getting revenge against the Wild at home. Tampa Bay is victorious with some help from wily vet Chris Drury, while the Senators slow down the Penguins and beat up former netminder Ray Emery.

Ugly game, took way to many penalties and no points from Kovy or Stammer certainly hurt

The question of the night then is if it was O'Neill on one of his infamous shoe pissingly spectacular nights on the town.

Nice to see an OT win on the road but I swear if I see another game-tying or winning goal against at 58:xx I will be able to do nothing about it.

Also to Dougie Wilson please don't kill Klefbom by giving him 30+ minutes a night thanks.
