Flamers take game one in the Battle of Alberta. Looks like it was an entertaining one at least.

Only three games tonight, but at least they were entertaining. The Sabres jump out to an early 3-0 lead on the Devils only to see Stamkos and Kovalchuk come alive in a 5-4 road victory. Bjugstad, Zherdev, and Ryan carry the offensive load as Calgary strikes first in the Battle of Alberta. Colorado crushes San Jose with two late third period goals to win in regulation. Parisé out for a week at the hands of Ivan Telegin.

Only one fight tonight, but it was a doozy. Willing-and-sorta-able young buck Taylor Beck jumps at the chance to fight Ryane Clowe, who's in crashing and banging to fire up his team after a lacklustre start to the game. Beck runs his mouth in the scrum, and gloves come off. Beck's a big kid, but Clowe's a grown-ass man, and after an initial round of tentative swings by a quick moving Beck, Clowe lands a few to the side of the eye and Beck loses his balance, Clowe shrugging him off as the younger player takes a knee.

As an added bonus, it takes the Sharks less than half a minute to capitalize on the energy, getting back into the game and even taking a lead before the 1st intermission. 'Course, then they went and lost. Pfft.

oddly enough, maybe? it's been over 25 years and gawd knows how many drinks ago (15,000?) and there is a little gray area here. there was a drunken trist one night with the legendary Amy Marx, and i seriously can't remember if we had sex that night or if, after telling everyone i knew for weeks on end that i had sex with her that night, that i caused myself to believe we had sex that night. either way, whatever happened, she didn't enjoy it because i never got anywhere with her after that. alas...

so if it wasn't Amy, it was some skank named Melissa whomever, and she rode the little femur like Bertuzzi did Moore. now that was night...
