The final spot in the East remains undecided as the Flyers pick up an all-important second point in a shootout, but still lead the Sabres by just one point with one game left for each team. Tyler Seguin has a four-goal night against the hapless Leafs, while the Red Wings beat the Devils in a potential lottery team battle, and the orphaned Canucks are blanked by the Flames. The Blue Jackets clinch the #2 seed in the West by defeating the Avalanche. The Kings tighten the gap between them and the Sharks and also leave the door open for the Coyotes (I have to see who has the tiebreaker between all three teams if ROW is tied). The Bruins clinch the Northeast Division title by virtue of beating the Senators and Montreal's 6-1 drubbing at the hands of the Carolina Hurricanes. The Capitals inexplicable loss to the upstart Panthers (my darkhorse playoff team in 2013!) vaults the Jets into first place in the Southeast because they own the ROW tiebreaker. The Rangers clinch the #6 seed with Montreal's loss and will travel to Boston for the first round of the playoffs. The Predators win and lock up a playoff seed in the West, holding a two point lead over the idle Blues.

On the AHL side of things, a huge win for the Toronto Marlies combined with a loss by the Charlotte Checkers puts them in the driver's seat for the final spot in the West. Norfolk is eliminated from playoff contention with their loss and St. John's win. Rochester's loss also eliminates them from a spot in the playoffs. Milwaukee and Oklahoma City both win so the #3 seed in the West is still up for grabs with one game to go. Binghamton is also eliminated due to St. John's win.

Just two nights left to go in the EHEC regular season. The Blues and Coyotes square off in tomorrow night's only tilt.

Wait....this is a real sim? That's complete EHM bullshit then.

i literally simmed this game 40 times...The record was 18-16-6 for me...with every game 3-2, 3-1, or 4-2 in favour of the winning team. With 6 3-3 ties.

Then you bust out a 6-1 in favour of the Canes? All I can do is laugh at that bogus shit. First Boston beats PIT which was complete 100 % horseshit now this horseshit result. Great!

00:29 SJ Joe Thornton (5 min for fighting)
00:29 LA Mirko Hoefflin (5 min for fighting)

Joe Thornton: 6 giveaways and -1 in 17:30. :golf clap:

Although I have to tip my hat to Hugo for picking up Hoefflin, I see the plan is to get him to goad much better players into fighting and take them out for 5 minutes at a time.

I also don't know what poor Rozsival did to earn this:

-Wayne Simmonds beat Michal Rozsival in a fight.
-Michal Rozsival fought Paul Stastny in a fight.
-Dustin Brown beat Michal Rozsival in a fight.

... other than injure some guy a while back or something, my memory is foggy. Christ, leave him alone after the first fight.

Tyler Seguin with two hatties in his rookie season, the second of which clinches the Calder trophy. The makings of a true legend.

Meh, I'm over it. One game in the span of 162. Blown saves happen, as you Blue Jays fans know quite well. Just so happens that ours happened in a pretty big moment.

Get after it tomorrow. Give yourselves a chance at the series on Sunday. If not, take 2 of 3 from the White Sox and head to KC.

Long season. Can't get too high or too low. You'll take 10 years off your life that way.

Was pretty confident going into my game with Ryan last night, but once we get to the skills contest, total crap shoot. Gave myself a chance with some help on Saturday, and that's all I can ask for. It does blow that EHM called on Pronger and the shoot-out, and Miller couldn't even stone him

Flames notched their 50th win of the season; celebrates their best season in EHEC history!!!

-Nikolai Zherdev beat Matt Cooke in a fight. ------> THAT IS SO VERY NICE.
Dude scores his 29th, registers 4 shots, 5 hits in 20:00 minutes of ice time, gets a 10, whooped that sissy Matt Cooke's ass and is still a force to be reckoned with.

Shawn Matthias continues to impress adding another SUPERB game to his already brillant campain.
A goal, an assist, 5 shots on goal, 5 hits, no turnovers and 5 takeaways all in 18:00 minutes played.
Man, you're amazing.

Kipper gets his 7th SO this season only trailing Bryzgalov by one in that category.
I guess you can be happy with this Kipper, but to me, you still had an average year and you need to bounce back next week when it matters most.
