2011 draftee Phillip Danault scores his first career goal in the Blue Jackets' trouncing of the OIlers. Washington inches closer to the division title by taking care of business at home. We'll see Erik Gudbranson next season as Cody McLeod injures him indefinitely during the Isles shootout win.

Pittsburgh matches the Capitals' W in the race for the top seed in the east. da Hawks and Preds play another gritty Central Division contest, while Boston manages to collect a point in Anaheim. St. Louis is, well, they're singing the blues. *ducks*

I endorse the league's judgement in this one. And 8 games is lenient. No place for that kind of thing in the game, that's not Panthers hockey. We'll be talking to Cody about his "future" with the club, that's for sure.

Atta boy Phil! Nice to hang a big number on somebody. And Jackets clinch the Central!

Some great games in EHEC tonight. Would have made for some excellent TV viewing.

I guess I'll be happy with Anaheim only giving up 1 pt to Boston. Tight division race down the stretch here.
