Waiver Draft Poll

Post by Virtual Jarmo »

Guys, do we want a waiver draft? It will probably push back the regular season a couple days. Let me know.

Voted, seems like to much hassle to me plus without it you dont have to worry about people picking up your spare parts which are really useful when theres injuries.

Waste of time in my opinion.

With Free Agency, waivers are a outdated and unnecessary.

Majority will rule here so we can get the ball rolling. Once one side gets to 16, the poll is over.

Although a waiver draft is logistically difficult enough that I don't mind it not happening, it would be useful to prevent people from stashing too many useful veteran players with two-way contracts in the AHL.

It would make our AHL more competitive but I don't think it's worth the time

Looks like I'm lucky #16! Just seems like it would be too much work for too little gain.

I wanted to wait to post until it was decided to avoid any potential conflict of interest, but I agree it's mostly unnecessary. Theoretically the salary cap in both the NHL and AHL should deter an overgrowth of talent for any one club, but the two-way contract offers do somewhat circumvent that.

Regardless, I also don't feel that it's terribly worth doing.

+1 to this. More draft beer at all times.

So it's settled. No waiver draft.
