Brews for the Bruins

Post by Virtual Jarmo »

Ever wonder how a Stanley Cup champion celebrates? With a $157,000 bar tab. Sorry to my Canuck friends for this thread.

100k of it was one bottle of champagne.
A few more cheap beers as they entered the third period. Anything was possible. Greatness within reach. Break out the bubbly. Expensive stuff. What's that? The bar has a $100,000 "Midas" bottle of Ace of Spades by Armand de Brignac that holds 30 L of and weighs about 100 pounds? It's one of only six in the world? Hell, yes, they'll take it.

He skated past an injured Edler, Ehrhoff, and Kesler, I've also seen that goal scored 16,000 times before.

Marchand is a punk, for the cheap shots he does in the NHL as a rookie completely disgust me. I hope he gets what's coming to him eventually.

Maybe, but his name will forever be on the Stanley Cup.

Yeah, so is Aaron Rome's name.

So that really means a lot..............

Furthermore, if the Canucks won, Chris Tanev and Victor Oreskovich's name would have been on there.

Seriously? You don't think having your name on the Cup means a lot?

Wow.

Yeah, they would have. Because they had a hand in it. No matter what. Even if they were absolutely terrible all season long, at some point, they made a play that helped win a game. Or at least helped change the complexion of a game.

Doesn't matter how bad you are, nothing can ever take away a Stanley Cup ring and your name in history.

Agree to agree that if Vancouver had won the Cup, your opinion would be 200% different. Yeah, I'll do that.

Nope, not really lol. I was actually laughing quite hard that guys like Oreskovich, Hodgson, Glass, Rome, Alberts, Tanev, and Bolduc were 1 game away from being engraved on a cup while most of them played 3-4 minutes a night besides the defensemen.

Why would anyone be proud of wasting that much money on something as pointless as alcohol?
